I love Årsdale and intend to end my days here. That is why I have made Årsdale Røgeri my life mission and it is therefore my goal to get the Røgeriet from being a seasonal business to becoming a year-round business. I will do this by using my experience over 34 years as a chef, waiter, dishwasher, restaurateur, hotel owner, accountant and now also smoke master. Add history, personality, local life, respect for the raw material, entrepreneurship, staff development and in the end Årsdale Røgeri & Bistro will emerge from the chimneys without a hitch.

Otto Rantala-Jørgensen

I will be the Head Chef at Aarsdale Røgeri from Easter to autumn 2024. My philosophy is “Why invent the deep dish when it already tastes great?” However, you can decorate the deep dish with personality and give it a boost. So my starting point here at the smokehouse will be the current, excellent menus and put my mark on them. I will look forward to working on the guest menu, where I will develop as a chef and take these dishes with me on my next project, which I have not yet decided on.
